When life closes one door on your face, it’s supposed to open another but when you are Muhammad Mokaev things change pretty drastically for you. The undefeated British-Dagestani fighter clinched an amazing victory against Manel Kape at UFC 304, however, he had to bid the promotion adieu as Dana White had released him from the UFC after his contract lapsed. After the event, White took to the mic to state, “He’s not under contract anymore. I think the PFL is going to get a great, undefeated guy. Good luck to him.”

It is quite unique for Dana White to make a PFL jibe at a fighter who is performing well considering his animosity toward his competition. So, why did the UFC head honcho make such a statement? Well, according to some reports the promotion was considering re-signing Mokaev. They were looking for a better way to promote him but the news got to the ears of the top brass of the UFC that Mokaev is venturing into PFL for a better deal and this was the last straw for Dana White.

Mokaev in his defense has now stated that the PFL news is just a facade made by the reporters, “Btw PFL don’t have flyweight division All these journalists that make this shit up are idiots! I hope Dana [White] resigns me, this is my dream to become a champion! ‘Punisher’s statement was the last call for help from him but according to fans, it is quite otherwise.

With an amateur record of 23-0 and a professional record of 13-0, Muhammad Mokaev is one of the best flyweights in the world but there’s a boring aspect to his fights according to the combat community. Approximately half of his victories in his professional career came by way of decision and this might have proven to be an eyesore for the MMA community. Taking this into consideration an MMA enthusiast stated, “Dude is hella problematic aside from a overall boring fighter.”

Furthermore, according to a ͏social media fan, ͏the promotion should cut ͏Bela͏l Muhammad because most of his w͏ins in his professional career have͏ come by way of decision. “This is really sad tbh they should cut belal too since he is more boring.”

There’s been a trend going around in the promotion of undefeated fighters. Shavkat Rakhmonov, Khamzat Chimaev, Ian Garry, and many other fighters are undefeated. There was a time when being undefeated was considered everything but now it’s more about selling PPVs than being undefeated. According to a social media user, this removal is a huge statement from the UFC to the fighters, “This is a massive statement by the UFC being undefeated means absolutely nothing when its by way of crotch sniffing”

Moreover, a fan questions Mokaev’s legitimacy, “All leverage lost in one tweet.” Tony Ferguson is riding a seven-fight losing streak but he is still under the promotion. A fan called out Dana White for his hypocritical behavior towards his fighters, “Yet Ferguson is 0-7, still in the UFC. Make it sense @dana white”
