UFC 287 pay-per-view interested many celebrities and UFC fighters to attend the event and witness the much-awaited main event of the night. Former US president Donald Trump was also in attendance in Miami as he bumped into flyweight champion Brandon Moreno. ‘The Assassin Baby’ shared a funny story about a moment he shared with Trump at the PPV.
Brandon Moreno has been on a roll, becoming the undisputed UFC flyweight champion after defeating Deiveson Figueiredo in their trilogy fight at UFC 283. He was not fighting in Miami. But Moreno came to attend the event like many other fighters and even congratulated Israel Adesanya after his win in the main event.

Donald Trump lauded UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno for his fighting style
‘The Assassin Baby’ shared a story on Instagram where he reiterated a conversation he had with Donald Trump during last weekend’s event. He said, “I had a talk with the man [Donald Trump].” Moreno added, “He says he likes my Mexican style of fighting and that if he becomes president again, he won’t try to deport me, but he doesn’t promise me anything.“

Brandon Moreno claims that Trump has witnessed his fight and praised his “Mexican” fighting style. Moreover, the former president has also mentioned that if he became president again, he will not consider deporting Moreno back to his home country of Mexico. But ‘The Assassin Baby’ claims that Trump did not assure him that they will cancel his deportation.
Former President gets VIP treatment from Dana White
The 45th US President was given the best experience one could have during a UFC event by UFC president Dana White. When he entered the Kaseya Center (f.k.a. Miami-Dade Arena), he received a large ovation from the crowd as he sat down in the front row of the audience. It was Trump’s first public appearance since his indictment last month.

Donald Trump is also the first president to ever attend a UFC event and sit near the cage side since 2019. It was during the fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz at UFC 244. It is evident that he came out to support Masvidal since ‘Gamebred’ shared his support for the former president in the post-fight interview at UFC 287.

Trump may not have assured Moreno with the promise of not deporting him back to his native country. But Moreno is still a fighter under UFC’s contract. So, he isn’t going anywhere soon.
