According to his interview with Michael Bisping on his YouTube channel, ‘Chaos’ chalks up his predicament to Jones’ apprehension of sharing a stage with Colby. The duo previously shared rooms in college before becoming contemporaries in the UFC. Colby says that his knowledge of Jones’ secrets from his past deterred ‘Bones’ from sharing his card.

Citing his knowledge of these “dirty skeletons” as the primary reason, ‘Chaos’ also went after Jones’ character, calling him unpredictable. Covington also clarified his position on the allegations in the interview. He said that he fully believes that Jones has spent time actively making sure he doesn’t share the card. Covington pitched himself as “the ultimate professional” and said his reliability is why he finds himself this position.
