Michael Jai White once pointed out that he would easily defeat Bruce Lee owing to the massive size difference between them, drawing widespread criticism from fans. The movie star is known to speak his mind and is a bona fide martial artist, holding black belts in seven different martial arts. He was seen giving combat tips to Kimbo Slice on the side while shooting a movie with the street brawler turned UFC fighter, and he impressed fight fans with videos of his fearsome kicks. These have made him an honorary member of the combat sports gallery.
The Hollywood actor went on the Youtube channel VladTV for an interview during which the subject of Joe Rogan came up, and MJW had an interesting take on a video of Joe Rogan using the n-word.

Michael Jai White drew the host’s attention to the similarities between himself and Rogan, pointing out that both are “martial arts nerds”, and both played competitive billiards but differed on the subject of recreational drug usage. On the subject of the video compilation of Joe Rogan using the n-word, he made clear that he didn’t think Rogan was a racist because of the context in which the word was used.
“I’ve known him for a very long time, and, uh, I mean, I know he’s not a racist, but he could, you know. You know, a lot of us are dichotomies. You could be this and this. There could be some racist s*** that’s in him. I heard that whole n-word rant thing, and I wasn’t cool with how they put that together. He was using it, he wasn’t…well, he wasn’t calling someone that. You know it’s different.” he said.
On being pushed back by the host, who asserted that a white person using the n-word is unacceptable under any circumstances, White reiterated his point and pointed out that Rogan did not use it pejoratively to describe someone, but said it in unique context. He also made known his feelings that Rogan was being targeted and revealed the reasons why.

He finished by highlighting that Rogan had acknowledged that he was wrong to use the word and had stopped its usage. He also questioned the timing of the video and attributed it to people deliberately trying to throw spanners in Rogan’s $100 million deal with Spotify.
“Think about it, there was no uproar about it until this whole Spotify thing happened, so then it’s like, let’s get him this way,” he told VladTV.
