Taking to a recent episode of the TimboSugarShow, the new Bantamweight champ cleared the air around Garry’s frustrations with O’Malley. Around the 46-minute mark in the video, ‘Sugar’ revealed what he thinks to be the root cause of Machado’s bold pre-fight announcement. 

‘Sugar’ speculated that ‘The Future’ could have been frustrated at his comments about ‘Machado’s manager, Lloyd Pierson. Pierson made some unsavory remarks about Garry’s initial opponent, Geoff Neal, who withdrew from the bout due to injury two weeks before the event. Clarifying his take, O’Malley revealed, “I get it. You gotta be a little delusional. I mean – I said some sh*t like that probably too – when I was on pay-per-views.”

Moreover, the new Bantamweight champ recounted, “He[Ian Garry] was so mad! It was because I shared his video – of Lloyd, his manager, saying that Geoff Neal pulled out [of the fight] because his pu**y hurts. But I shared that – he posted it, I just reshared it” and said, “That’s funny.”

The aftermath of UFC 292: Sterling’s determination and O’Malley’s future

In the aftermath of Sean O’Malley’s win, there have been numerous fighters who think ‘Sugar’s win over ‘Aljo’ was a fluke. UFC bantamweights like Henry Cejudo, Merab Dvalishvili and even boxing icons like Ryan Garcia have thrown down the gauntlet. 

However, despite the loss, Sterling’s competitive fire remains unquenched. The former Bantamweight title holder recently took to his online platform to voice his aspirations to the fans. Brimming with determination, he sent out a powerful tweet directed at O’Malley. He declared:
