It has been seven years since the MMA community lost one of the pioneers of the sport, Kevin Randleman. Moreover, he was a close personal friend of the UFC’s first-ever heavyweight champion, Mark Coleman. As such, ‘The Hammer’ recently shared a post to commemorate Randleman’s birthday. Many fans joined in and shared their reactions to the post on social media.

Kevin ‘The Monster’ Randleman was one of the earliest MMA fighters with amazing wrestling skills. He was an NCAA Division I champion and a former UFC heavyweight champion. A heavy-handed wrecking machine, his contributions to the sport are second to none. A Hall of Famer, he also had a great relationship with Mark Coleman. ‘The Hammer’ was the mentor of ‘The Monster’ and both became famous for their ground-and-pound technique.

Coleman, who’s aiming for a comeback to fighting, has never failed to wish Randleman on his birthday, and as such, he shared yet another post for his former protégé and friend. ‘The Hammer’ wrote, “Happy birthday to one of the greatest man I ever got the pleasure to be around Kevin “the only monster” Randleman you touched everybody’s heart you touched mine.”

Furthermore, Mark Coleman mentioned that he always remembers his best friend and hopes to see him soon. “He was my best friend you will always be remembered, and never forgotten… I love you brother.
