Colby Covington may have just revealed some of Jon Jones’ darkest secrets during his recent exchange with the heavyweight champion. It seems the feud between the UFC fighters is far from over, as ‘Chaos’ has once again taken aim at Jones. However, this time, the accusations are both bold and bizarre. After calling out Jones for ducking Tom Aspinall and having some weird obsession with plus-size girls back in the college days, Covington has invoked the ‘Fruity Tendencies’ argument once again in his conversation with ‘The MMA Guru.’

If you remember, ‘The MMA Guru’ had claimed Jones to be a homosexual earlier this year. So when Colby Covington went ballistic on Jon Jones, he was all ears. When the host asked the former interim welterweight champion to give a little context about his ‘Fruity Tendencies’ comment at the UFC Tampa media day, ‘Chaos’ said, “He did, [he] used to paint his nails all the time. He would paint them black, he’d paint them white. I think one time he did do pink for a wrestling match.”

He further added, “So, he definitely has a lot of fruity tendencies and questionable things he did. A couple of times he wanted to wrestle with me. I’m like, ‘Dude, why do you want to wrestle with me? Dude, I’m not in your weight class, and why are you trying to…’ The way he would wrestle me, he wouldn’t wrestle hard; it was almost like he wanted to grope on me. So, you know, I always knew he had those weird tendencies.”

Jon Jones and Colby Covington have a very different recollection of their college days. Both of the individuals attended the Iowa Central Community College and they were roommates once. According to Colby Covington, Jones and he stayed together in that dorm for a prolonged period of two years but ‘Bones’ has disregarded this claim as he asserted that it was only for a semester.

If you scroll all the way down to Covington’s Instagram handle, you can find a photo of them partying together during their college days. However, any friendly relationship these fighters once shared may now be ruined due to their ongoing back-and-forth exchanges.  Jon Jones has yet to comment on ‘Chaos’ antics for now but it’s just a moment of time when we witness a stern warning from the heavyweight champion. Regardless, this is not the first time Covington had a beef with the ‘Bones.’

Back in 2014, while having an interview with Fox Sports, MMA Roasted podcast, Colby Covington went ahead to claim that Jon Jones had such an infamous temper that he used to throw people out of the windows whenever he had a chance, “When you’re in a small town in Iowa, a lot of kids are farm kids, and they always wanted to start some stuff with the wrestlers…they’d always try to pick fights at our house parties and stuff. We would just clear out the place of a bunch of townies,” said Covington.

He further added, “Especially Jon. He’d be throwing people through windows and stuff. It was nuts. He has a bad temper. When he gets mad, he gets mad.” At that time, Jones asserted that he did not have a love-hate relationship with Colby Covington during their college days. While having a conversation at a media conference, Jones responded, “Colby’s a habitual liar at the end of the day. He really is. He told the fans that we lived together for two years.”

“We lived together for one semester. I’ve made a lot of mistakes and a lot of people don’t consider me a good person, but coming from me, Colby’s a really bad person. He really is. He really, really is,” said Jones.

Who is saying the truth here and who is the liar? This question will remain until a third person from the same college answers it. Regardless, what are your thoughts on Colby Covington’s words for Jon Jones? State your opinion in the comments below.
