“He Told Me That He Was Bored”- Khabib Nurmagomedov Details Cristiano Ronaldo’s Reason to Leave Italian Football and Choose Premier League

Khabib Nurmagomedov is an MMA legend and inarguably is amongst the greatest fighters to be a part of the UFC. ‘The Eagle’ has an impressive MMA record of 29-0 and was one of the most dominating UFC champions ever. The fighter last competed in the UFC back in 2020. He faced Justin at Gaethje UFC 254 and won the fight via a 2nd round submission.

‘The Eagle’ has since retired and has moved on to other things. Nurmagomedov is into coaching and also owns his very own MMA promotion back in Russia. However, apart from MMA, the fighter is also interested in football and is friends with the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nurmagomedov had earlier also revealed that he knew about Ronaldo’s latest move to Manchester United. Now, in an interview with RT Sport, they asked The Eagle’ to elaborate on the same and whether he tried to pursue Ronaldo to move back to Real Madrid.

‘The Eagle’ answered, “I dont know. I wouldn’t like to reveal our private chat. Well, he told me that he was bored in Italy. And he would like to move to England. For Real, when I watch Italian Football, I am not a big fan of it. English football, on the contrary. I would never switch it off. No matter which team is playing, it’s always a spectacle.”

While Nurmagomedov refrained from revealing too much of his conversation with Ronaldo. We did learn that ‘The Eagle’ is a big fan of the EPL and loves to watch it anywhere at any time.

During the interview, they even asked Nurmagomedov to weigh in on one of the biggest questions in world football. Nurmagomedov was asked whether (keeping his friendship with Ronaldo aside) he believes Ronaldo is better than Lionel Messi.

The former UFC champion said, “Yes I do. Well, Messi plays very well too. He is one of the best ever. I think they are on the same level skill wise, but Cristiano has more charisma.”
