Jorge Masvidal is not a man to mince his words. The former BMF belt-holder is of the same ilk as no-nonsense, its-all-personal fighters like the Diaz brothers, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Wanderlei Silva. They come from the school of thought that if you say something insulting to them, you might have a fight on your hands when you see them in the streets. He has fought with Leon Edwards and Colby Covington over disagreements outside the cage.

So it was no surprise to see him give his frank and unadulterated opinion on Conor McGregor to TMZ Sports and made some startling comments, including how McGregor will not face ‘Gamebred’ as he is afraid.

Masvidal told the host that Conor McGregor would not fight ‘Gamebred’ because he was a tough opponent for the Dubliner. He said McGregor chose to fight Michael Chandler in his upcoming comeback, as he thinks Chandler is an easy opponent. He pointed out that ‘Notorious’ had tried to do that against Dustin Poirier, as the Irishman had beaten the American in their first encounter. But the plan backfired. McGregor lost and broke his leg, which forced him to spend two years out of the cage.

Masvidal went on to say that he didn’t even think McGregor was a serious athlete anymore. He alleged ‘Notorious’ of using cocaine and Performance-Enhancing drugs. The Cuban-American declared that it wouldn’t help McGregor perform and advised him to work hard. “That guy stopped being an athlete like five, six years ago. That guy just snorted Coke bro and beat his ass on steroids and beat the f*** s*** out of him bro. He thinks steroids are gonna help his cardio, it’s not, you know. What helps your cardio is getting after it every day f*** working out no matter what, you know? Steroids don’t f*** give you cardio,” he said.

In strong words, ‘Gamebred’ also spoke about his disdain for McGregor and went into detail about what he wants to do to McGregor. Masvidal expressed his desire to beat up McGregor and even “torture” him a little. Masvidal felt that McGregor had brought a lot of negative attention to the sport and felt that he needed to be humbled.

“I’d f*** hurt that guy real bad yeah. I’d want to torture him you know. Just because I don’t like the way he carries himself outside of the ring and how the negative… Like he’s brought a lot of positive light towards fighting but a lot of negative as well. So someone just needs to put him in his place I think,” he said.
