Conor McGregor added a considerable amount of muscle during his time outside the UFC since his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. However, many people claim that the Irishman used steroids. One of those people was former UFC fighter, Jake Shields, who recently shared a post remarking about McGregor‘s jacked physique.

Back in 2016, the Irishman’s former rival, Nate Diaz, took a shot at him by claiming that McGregor was using steroids. However, this statement angered ‘Mystic Mac’ and he went on to accuse two of Nate Diaz’s teammates, Gilbert Melendez and Jake Shields.

Moreover, Shields replied to the former double champion’s statement and warned him of those claims. He even posted a tweet regarding McGregor’s withdrawal from the USADA testing pool last year.

However, Jake Shields recently clapped back at those comments in a post on Twitter. The post shows a picture of a normal Jose Aldo alongside a jacked Conor McGregor. The 44-year-old wrote in the caption: “This juice head [McGregor] tried claiming I was on steroids.” Many MMA fans filled up the comment section in the post.

However, there was one fan who didn’t align with the accusations of McGregor using steroids. He said believes that the former double champion has been working out as a bodybuilder to bulk up.

Another fan believes that someone has altered the former double-division champ’s picture via Photoshop.

However, most fans believe that the image has been edited to make McGregor look bigger than he actually is.

UFC president Dana White has confirmed that Conor McGregor will have his comeback fight against Michael Chandler. The match will take place after both fighters are done filming for the Ultimate Fighter, which may take place after August. Moreover, McGregor still has to go through the USADA testing process before he can eventually get back inside the octagon.
