Since the day Elon Musk challenged Mark Zuckerberg to a duel, both have been engaged in a heated war of words over their respective social media platforms, Twitter and Meta. As things progressed, Musk stated that he would fight Zuckerberg in a “real MMA fight” and that the proceeds would go to charity. Although Zuckerberg accepted the challenge, and the two began to discuss the details of the event, things haven’t materialized much.
And after receiving no positive reply from Musk’s side, Meta CEO, on Threads, highlighted that it was time to move on. Currently, there is no talk from both sides on social media. And there appears to be little chance that the highly anticipated bout between the tech billionaires will materialize. However, around eight present and past professional fighters have stepped forward to offer training assistance to Musk.

As per reports, this unusual show of support stems from their grudges against Zuckerberg. The unconventional alliance of these professional fighters is led by former MMA champion Chad Robichaux, who assesses Zuckerberg as a “communist that’s suppressing our speech, and ruining most of our businesses.” Reflecting the fighters’ collective sentiment, Robichaux added, “We feel like he needs his a** beat.”
Among the other fighters that hate Meta CEO are Strikeforce Champion and UFC title contender Nate Marquardt, UFC fighter Jalin Turner, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, and current UFC contender Alex Morono. All of them have expressed their hate for the Meta CEO.
Jackson said, “I have to side with Elon Musk… [because] of free speech. Zuckerberg is kind of taking away free speech on his platforms,” while highlighting, “Musk is more of a stand-up guy.”
Further, some of these anti-Zuck MMA stars have begun to analyse the fight to come up with a gameplan for the Tesla boss.
Thomas Cronin sees weakness in Zuckerberg’s game
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu masters, Thomas Cronin and Carlson Gracie Jr., are also gearing up to train Musk, considering the Tesla CEO’s victory as a win for humanity. As per Cronin, he has observed weaknesses in Zuckerberg’s training and intends to capitalize on those positions to help Musk.

Cronin said, “There’s a couple of things that I see in Zuckerberg’s training that they’re not really addressing, as far as I can tell. And we want to capitalize on those positions.” Gracie Jr., on the other hand, is focused on a balanced approach.
He has cautioned against overtraining Musk and emphasized a fundamental technique evaluation. Gracie Jr. said, “We’d have to work in some kind of basic fundamental techniques, and first, you have to evaluate his level and from there we can work on [him].”
While it is still unclear whether the fight will come to fruition, the involvement of the professional fighters has added a new layer of intrigue to the brewing rivalry. If the fight does happen, it will be a fascinating clash of two very different worlds.
