UFC fans can get weird sometimes when they meet their favorite fighters. UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is one of those fan favorites, who’s amassed a huge fan following all over the world due to his stone-cold nature demeanor inside the Octagon. ‘Poatan’ had a usual fan encounter when he visited a country not that long ago, which has baffled UFC color commentator Joe Rogan.
The 57-year-old recently spoke about Alex Pereira’s leg kicks’ effects on his JRE podcast. He pointed out one of the collaborative videos the Brazilian star made with influencer Nina Marie Daniele. The duo engaged in a little training session when Nina asked Pereira to just give her a gentle taste of what it feels like to get kicked by him. And as we know, things didn’t go all too well for the social media star, who regretted taking that.
“Have you ever seen Alex Pereira, like, gently leg kick this lady? She asked him to. She’s like, ‘Just don’t hit me hard.’ He gently taps her leg, she falls to the ground and then she took a photo of it afterwards. He whole leg was bruised,” Joe Rogan stated on the #2256 episode of JRE, featuring Shane Gillis, Ari Shaffir, and Mark Normand as guests. That led Gillis to bring up the fan encounter Pereira had in South Korea. “How about that f—ing Asian guy that was swallowing those?” Unsurprisingly, Rogan seemed pretty aware of it as he responded, “That guy in Korea? Bro, that guy’s an animal. Who knows [the man’s identity]?”

For context, when ‘Poatan’ paid a visit to South Korea, he was welcomed like a superstar. But things got really crazy when he came across a fan who wanted him to land some leg kicks on him. The fan ate 26 of them and the 205-pound king wasn’t holding back one bit, leading Joe Rogan to imagine the worst for the Korean fan. “He’s not hitting him full blast but he’s hitting him pretty hard man… Look at this guy. Just dancing. That’s crazy! That guy’s an animal,” Rogan added. “He just touched her… Imagine that dude ate like, 20 What of them? That’s crazy. He might be dead.”

Pereira’s former rival Israel Adesanya recently spoke about those leg kicks too. Chatting with Robert Whittaker, Adesanaya mentioned the bunions Pereira has on his feet – even ‘Izzy’s father noticed it. That was all from Pereira’s feet hardening over his kicking opponents and bags. What’s crazier, fans still want to get hit by these professional fighters. Remember the ones who want to get body shots from Ilia Topuria?

While we don’t know what the state of the fan’s leg was like afterward, Alex Pereira seemed pretty impressed with the man’s durability. However, there was one time when Alex Pereira really warned a fan of what he was getting into.
Alex Pereira once gave one fan a ‘disclaimer’ before giving him a few punches
Almost six months ago, Alex Pereira came across a fan at a gym, who happened to be wearing a balaclava. Luckily for the fan, the UFC champion decided to put a boxing glove on to lessen the impact, but even then, before the first punch, Pereira told him that if the fan got hurt, it was all on him. “He’s not responsible for the result [of his punches],” Pereira’s translator stated.

The fan geared up and when Alex Pereira landed the first body shot, he could clearly feel the pain inside. However, the fan-powered through and asked the Brazilian native to land one more punch on his abdomen. When Pereira landed the second blow, the fan finally dropped down to the floor, groaning in pain, and ‘Poatan’ was left lost for words and the only thing he could do was smile.
Well, professional fighters are quite literally the real deal, and asking them for such favors – wanting to get hit or get choked – may not end well. What do you reckon? Drop your comments below.
