BKFC 41, stacked with UFC alumni, takes place on April 29 at 1STBANK Center in Denver. While former UFC champion Luke Rockhold and Mike Perry headline the event, another former champion, Eddie Alvarez, faces a familiar foe in the c0-main event in his bare-knuckle debut. Alvarez, who lost his lightweight crown to Conor McGregor at UFC 205, squares off against fellow compatriot, who also was flatlined by ‘Notorious’.
In addition, both fighters have also added bulk to their frame since quitting UFC. The bulked-up build of both fighters matches their current requirements, and they don’t have to toil hard to adhere to make the weight, unlike their heydays in UFC. However, it was the 37-year-old former title challenger who caught everyone by surprise with his recent transformation, including the bantamweight star Sean O’Malley.

‘Sugar’ appeared in Ep. 234 of his famous podcast, TimboSugarShow. The bantamweight fighter addressed the awaited BKFC 41 lineup that also featured Chad Mendes. Notably, it was ‘Money’ who paved McGregor’s path to glory in the UFC as ‘Mystic Mac’ defeated him for the title of interim champion at UFC 189.
Discussing the co-main event, O’Malley opined both the fighters looked as if they were built for BKFC. Mendez, in particular, caught O’Malley’s eyeballs for his “huge” size. His latest Instagram post evidenced the same.
He said, “Those boys look like they’re built for that. Chad Mendes, this dude, he looks huge. F*ck have you seen his IG pic? I just don’t know. I’m like Jesus Christ.”
This prompted the co-host Tim Welch to ask O’Malley whether chicken and rice and discipline resulted in that beefed-up physique or something else.

The #2 ranked bantamweight revealed, “Chicken, rice, discipline baby. That’s what that sh*t called.”
Markedly, Mendes has expressed his desire to hang the gloves after his fight with Eddie Alvarez. Mendes, who turned in a skillful performance in his BKFC debut when he stopped Joshuah Alvarez, has lost interest in fighting. However, he believes only a hefty paycheck might alter his decision.

He stated, “I don’t know. This honestly might be the last fight… I keep saying that, but money talks. I already told the wife this is likely to be the last one.”
