Best friend turned enemies, Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal are always at each other’s throats. Back in 2020, Covington was officially removed from American Top Team. His former gym is known to house some quite famous fighters, including Tyron Woodley and Dustin Poirier.

However, he recently sat down on an interview with MMA News and said he still had people inside the gym. Further, the 33-year-old gave his two cents regarding his matchup with Jorge Masvidal and his injury.

He said, “

Well, you know street judas fragile guy Masvidal has to get healthy first, James. I mean, I still got people at his gym that he trains at that like me more than him and are giving me this insider information. So I know for a fact that he fractured his ribs, and he left the gym crying, so one of his teammates had to drive him home.”

‘Chaos’ then said, “He

was crying-‘oh my ribs hurt I can’t drive oh my ribs’. So, that little fragile guy George has to get healthy first, and then we’ll see”

Further commenting about Jorge’s ex-wife, “

I hope he shows up, you know. I’d love to beat him up, you know. I’m trying to get paid. I know his ex-wife Maritza and the mother his kids are trying to get paid. Will we ever see Colby Covington vs Jorge Masvidal?

No one can deny that Colby and Jorge’s fight will be a blockbuster. The former teammates’ beef and history have everyone hooked up. UFC will be making a grave mistake, not to set this fight. Both of them are coming from a loss and are hungry for some good redemption.

Colby already has shown interest in the fight, saying they tried to put it together, but Jorge isn’t signing the contract. If Masvidal signs the contract, the fight will be a significant event in UFC’s fight book.
