I looked at it that Sean has become someone… I mean – only comparison. The biggest comparison I can make with Sean Strickland is that he’s the new version of a Nick and Nate Diaz.” said Thompson, drawing from his personal in-ring experience with the former UFC fighter.

John McCarthy agreed and Thompson further explained the comparison, saying, “He fought… the way he fought Magomedov was exactly the way Nick and Nate fight. Because he just walked people down, he didn’t check any kicks and he stuck the jab in the right hand or whatever or in the left hand or whatever in the face and was just sticking it to him. Every opportunity he had he just touched him a little bit. He touched him.
