Ronald Reagan stands out as one of the most intriguing presidents in U.S. history. Scholars contend that Reagan’s charismatic leadership style was a defining characteristic. This became particularly evident when, at the age of 74, he sought reelection. Surprisingly, his age didn’t raise eyebrows, and he emerged victorious in the debates, leaving observers in awe. Joe Rogan couldn’t help but chuckle at the remarkable people skills exhibited by this charismatic leader.

In a conversation with Taylor Sheridan on JRE episode #2083, Rogan shared a moment of laughter about the class the previous politicians had while debating.

Joe Rogan recently had the opportunity to act as the host of actor, director, and rancher Taylor Sheridan. During the discussion about the political scenarios happening in the US, Sheridan reminisced that there was a time when politicians had meaningful and healthy debates. The actor reminded Rogan about a debate where former US President Ronald Reagan made his opponent laugh.

“You know, you can watch the debates; there’s a real funny one between Reagan and Mondale. Reagan was 74, maybe, when he was running for re-election, and his age was an issue. That might be an issue in this upcoming election,” said Sheridan.

The actor further explained that Reagan shut down his opponent by stating that he would not let his age be an issue on the topic of national interest “Reagan said at one point, “Listen, I’m not going to allow age to be an issue in this debate. I will not hold my the other candidate’s youth and inexperience against him.” Sheridan pointed out that Raegan’s statement made his opponent Walter Mondale laugh.

Sheridan’s words sparked Rogan’s interest in the topic, and as he watched the clip of the debate, he found himself taken aback by the sophisticated demeanor of past politicians. “He did look pretty old right there. Mondale laughed. What a better time back then. What a better time. These two guys are in a debate, and he’s like, “You got me, good job.” He just took it on the chin, yeah, like a man. How come they can’t do that anymore?” said Rogan. The 56-year-old agreed with Sheridan’s assessment that old-time politicians had some class behind their works. Rogan bashes the politicians irrespective of their political inclination. Nonetheless, what is Joe Rogan’s political stance? Let us find out.

Over the years, Joe Rogan has consistently emphasized the diverse range of his political views. The podcaster is astute in his stance that he has no political inclination to any part of a person. In one of his episodes of Joe Rogan Experience with CIA officer Mike Baker, Rogan explained that he stands in the center.

“I don’t give a f*** if you’re a Republican or a Democrat. I share ideas from both sides. I’m kind of a hybrid in a lot of ways. I’m a big supporter of the 2nd Amendment, I’m a big supporter of the military. But I’m very liberal, I’m socially very liberal. I don’t buy this idea that I have to be a part of one party or another party,” Rogan told Baker.
