Dana White is clearly dissatisfied with the judging in Noche UFC’s headliner bout. Though the UFC head honcho was on vacation at the time of the event – he still tuned in to watch the tantalizing rematch between Grasso and ‘Bullet’.

He didn’t mince his words when he expressed his disagreement with the judges’ scoring. “When I found out that one of the judges scored 10-8, I’m like, ‘This guy should be f****** investigated for this! This is the craziest s*** I’ve ever seen in my life,” he said during Tuesday’s Contender Series press conference.

He went on to highlight his concern around such decisions, stating, “There’s a seminar tomorrow with the [Nevada] Athletic Commission on 10-8s. So, hopefully, they can get this cleared up. Especially when at times, there’s so much at stake in a title fight.”

What’s more – he cleared the air around Mike Bell, the now-famous judge whose decision led to the split draw. Voicing his opinions about Bell, he revealed, “They’ve assured me that this guy[Mike Bell] isn’t a bad guy. He just f***ed up and made a mistake. It’s unfortunate. And there’s no way in hell [that] that was a 10-8 round.”

White drops a major hint on Grasso vs. Shevchenko rematch

While addressing the media, Dana White made it abundantly clear that he firmly believes a rematch between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso is the most logical course of action. White was aware that Valentina might require surgery due to injuries sustained during the fight, which could potentially impact her readiness for a rematch.

Nevertheless, White’s stance remained unwavering—he insisted on the necessity of a rematch. He asserted, “They have to rematch. We will rematch them. It’s the right thing to do. It’s a fight that needs to happen.”

On the other hand, as per reports from ‘Bullet’s camp, she’s going to undergo surgery for her ‘comminuted fracture.’ This may very well keep her out of full-contact sparring for at least three months. Yet, White’s insistence on a rematch underscores his commitment to delivering the best possible fights to the fans and ensuring that championship bouts are decided conclusively in the Octagon. Likewise, his determination to rectify the controversy surrounding the initial decision exemplifies his dedication to the sport’s integrity.
