In JRE MMA episode 153, two Joes had quite a vast array of conversations. However, a statement made by ‘Bodybagz’ about the light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira had the color commentator quite stunned.

Rogan and Pyfer started talking about how it’s crazy for people like Alex Pereira and Joe Pyfer to make the middle limit given their size. Pyfer went on to give instances of them meeting before, as he told Rogan, “I mean when I look at him like it’s so weird we’ve seen each other so many times there’s no head nod there’s no respect now.” He then stated how he felt about the light heavyweight champ, as he stated, “I think a lot of guys are overrated in this fucking sport.”

‘Bodybagz’ continued his take on Pereira by stating, “I mean, look, I don’t think it’s I think I think getting hit by him isn’t overrated, right but he’s very stiff and he’s got that off switch. He’s got that off switch.”

Joe Rogan was rightfully baffled by the UFC prospect’s comments as he defended Pereira’s low durability in the middleweight division due to his massive weight cut. The UFC commentator has always had massive praise coming towards the UFC light heavyweight champ.

In another episode of the JRE podcast, the 56-year-old had a lot of good things to say about Pereira, especially after his win at UFC 295 against Jiri Prochazka. He also praised how much ‘Poatan’ has improved ever since his first fight inside the UFC octagon.

Rogan stated, “But at least now he is good at defending. Guys, take him down. He defends, he survives, doesn’t get completely exhausted. And then the next round he is standing back up again,” explaining his vast improvement in his ground game.
