In the video, a post-training session interaction with the media showcases the endearing father-son bond. A journalist curiously inquired about Khabib’s romantic relationship, to which his father replied with a touch of humor, “He is his wife’s property since last summer. She has the controlling stake.”

However, the video took a more intriguing turn when the interviewer broached a sensitive topic in a veiled manner. He asked the senior Nurmagomedov whether “physical contact” before a fight drains all energy. In his characteristically calm manner, Khabib’s father provided a playful response.

While acknowledging Greg Jackson’s coaching abilities in the realm of striking, Abdulmanap emphasized that Jon Jones’ talent originates from a higher source: “Jon Jones got his talent from God, not from Greg Jackson.” This assertion highlights the reverence that Abdulmanap holds for the divine element in Jones’ success.

While acknowledging Jones’ problems with the law, Nurmagomedov stated his belief that ‘Bones’ is the best MMA fighter. “Jon Jones is number 1 out of all fighters. Maybe not in terms of behavior or the law or something else. But I’m confident that he will wipe out the top-5 heavyweights,” he said.
