Khamzat Chimaev is one of the most hyped fighters on the roster right now. The rising star has taken the world by storm after his recent performance at UFC 267 against Li Jingliang. His charisma and fierce attitude have definitely made him a fan favorite.
During his run at the UFC, the fighter has had more wins than he’s eaten punches. “Borz” returned to the octagon at UFC 267 after a hiatus of over a year. Looking at the way he fought, it’s safe to say that he’s back like he never left.
Fight fans can’t wait to see Chimaev step back into the octagon again. Recently, one of the biggest fight fans, Joe Rogan, discussed Khamzat Chimaev on his podcast in a chat with Snoop Dogg.

Rogan’s special guest at the podcast was the west coast rapper and sports analyst, Snoop Dogg. Joe said,” Snoop, the word is, he’s even better than you’ve seen. The word is, by people train with him, they’re like dude, he is a f**kin freak of nature.”
“He’s really smart, he knows what to do. He’s got sick timing, he’s got a super-genius fight mindset. Like, you watch him fight, he doesn’t make any mistakes. He’s had I think he’s had three or four fights in the UFC. He’s only been hit twice. He’s just a swarm, he’s just a swarm. One guy he knocked out with one punch in the first round. These other guys he just gets a hold of and smashes him. It’s wild, and everybody can sense it.”

Chimaev is expected to return to the octagon soon. Listening to Rogan and Snoop Dogg, it’s pretty evident that they can’t wait to see him back in action.
What’s next for Khamzat Chimaev?
After his performance at UFC 267, Chimaev’s welterweight ranking went up to number 10. Immediately after beating ‘The Leech’, Borz made it clear to the press that he’s ready to fight anyone the UFC gives him.

There have been many talks about who he’s going to be fighting next. A possible opponent for the Swedish fighter is Nate Diaz. After the two went back and forth on social media, Dana White showed interest in the fight as well.
A matchup with Gilbert Burns is also very possible. As Burns indicated that he wouldn’t close down the idea of a fight against Chimaev, there have been many reports that the UFC is targeting a fight between Burns and Chimaev in January 2022.
