What Altamimi has to say about Chris Pratt
Currently, both Altamimi and Pratt go to the same gym- ‘Unbreakable Performance’. Commentator, Jay Glazer famously owns the gym. In a conversation with ‘MMA Junkie’, Altamimi told “He’s[Chris Pratt] really good. He has really good wrestling – he has a background in wrestling in high school.”
Further, the MMA fighter added, “The guy has really good experience wrestling, and I work with him a lot with striking and I train him in striking. We roll a lot. He likes to roll, and he’s strong.”
The 8-7 record holder shared a funny incident of his pre-fight warmup with Pratt. After that, he explained, “I was trying to warm up with him (before the fight) and I was like, ‘I want another guy’ because he’s heavy.”
Altamini additionally discussed at length Chris Pratt’s training routine. He said, “He[Chris Pratt] has really strong hips. I know he’s a really famous actor, but he trains every day. This guy is always training. He’s very, very strong. He comes to fight.”
Jay Glazer shared similar views. He revealed that getting hit by Pratt was quite painful. He compared Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son-in-law to MMA legend Randy Couture and said, “It sucks getting hit by him more than it does by Randy Couture.”
Pratt and his apology to Isreal Adesanya
Chris Pratt is a huge MMA fan and is often present at Bellator events. The ‘Jurrasic World’ protagonist was with the UFC broadcast team post-main event of UFC 276. The middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya’s performance, did not impress him. Adesanya received a lot of flak for his inability to finish the fight.
On that account, Pratt commented on Adesanya’s performance and said, “I’m just an actor, but I’m not a fan, man.”
You’re right. I’m sorry brutha. It bugs me when people criticize my work- having never themselves risked anything. It makes me a hypocrite to do exactly that to you. My bad. Keep on keeping on champ. 🙏🏻♥️
