Now don’t be surprised if his latest video garners views in the millions as ‘Triple C’ has finally made an analysis of Conor McGregor. In a video over 22 minutes long, the former Olympian examined McGregor’s techniques over four fights of his career. Cejudo divulged interesting and very minute details of the Irishman’s technique and pointed out the departments where McGregor should strive to work on. Triple C eventually gave his grading on the 34-year-old’s technique, while also giving his opinion if we’d ever see McGregor back to his old form.
Now the Irishman has been in the news extensively last week with a possible TUF stint also being touted by McGregor himself. In that regard, Cejudo might just have found the best time to post the analysis on ‘The Notorious’.

Cejudo started out with one of McGregor’s classic performances. While breaking down the Irishman’s first fight against Dustin Poirier, the former bantamweight champ pointed out McGregor’s composure as a striking feature.
“Look at how much more relaxed (Conor is) and the fact that when he’s going, he’s actually going. He’s nice and relaxed, nice and composed,” stated Cejudo. He then continues to indicate yet another strength in McGregor’s techniques. “…playing the mind games. This is what made Conor good. Covers distance, smokes that right hand to eventually drop him with that too.”
As Cejudo moved on to the next fight against Eddie Alvarez, he had a surprising claim regarding the Irishman’s strongest point. As the sequence showed McGregor’s beautiful counter, Cejudo states: “Notice how he anticipated that shot. If there’s one thing that I will say about Conor McGregor, his greatest gift is anticipation.”
This claim was quite interesting since it’s a first-of-its-kind perspective on McGregor’s technique.
Cejudo on what Conor McGregor does wrong in his fights
While covering the Khabib Nurmagomedov fight, the 35-year-old then went on about what was wrong with Notorious’ technique. He pointed out McGregor’s exhaustion and his lack of composure. “Look at how much Connor is just out of position, just walking. You can tell that he doesn’t have that calmness, and then he gets caught by Khabib with that hand.”
Cejudo didn’t stop here as he found more flaws with his technique in the second Poirier fight as well.
“He leans a little too much to the right, which gets that. Even though he did hit him, but his distance is just off because now he’s reaching,” mentioned Cejudo as McGregor landed his combination on Poirier.

Eventually, the former Bantamweight champ gave what he felt was a fair grading of McGregor’s technique. Although the Irishman’s fans might not agree with it, Cejudo decided to give him eighteen and a half out of a possible thirty. Sounds quite low, considering McGregor’s achievements inside the cage.

The 35-year-old then expressed what the Dubliner should do if he wanted to make a comeback. Although he did express his doubts about it as well.
“He has finances, he has everything to really structure and put together the right team. And finances and all that stuff helps when you get guys to mimic the guy that you got to compete again and fight with.” claimed Cejudo. He then leaves fans with his final verdict on McGregor’s future, “My biggest question is does Conor McGregor really have the accountability? I just don’t think so.”
