The MMA world is eagerly waiting for the bout that will decide the greatest heavyweight fighter in the UFC. The much-anticipated clash will be held between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 on November 11. Jones and Miocic are considered great fighters who have achieved several glorious victories in the past. Miocic is the former UFC heavyweight champion, while Jones currently reigns as the heavyweight king. ‘Bones’ sat on the heavyweight throne after he came back to the promotion after a hiatus of three long years to fight Ciryl Gane at UFC 285.

When Jones was making his comeback, some believed that the ring rust would have affected him. Moreover, he was coming back to an alien division. However, within two minutes and four seconds of the opening round, Jones proved that he was back to rule the heavyweight division. Presently, many, including UFC legend Mark Coleman, believe that only Stipe Miocic stands a chance against the mighty ‘Bones.’ Does Coleman feel that the former UFC heavyweight champion is going to win against Jon Jones?

Not the right matchup for former UFC champion

Soon after Dana White announced the bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic, many prominent figures from the MMA world began to take sides. One among them was legendary UFC official John McCarthy. McCarthy strongly believes that the 41-year-old is a great fighter who was one of the best champions in the history of the promotion. However, according to him, presently it’s not the right time for Miocic to fight someone as great as ‘Bones.’ He feels that Miocic would terribly fail to outdo Jones in the fight. He also pointed out how Miocic once lost against Daniel Cormier at UFC 226 even though he later won two fights against DC. What are your thoughts about the bout between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic?
