‘The JRE host’ talked about his job of conducting post-fight interviews and mentioned, “Occasionally, I have to confront them about certain things.” Taking out the example of one such a situation, Rogan narrated, “When Khamzat Chimaev beat Kevin Holland, I was in a very interesting situation because Khamzat weighed in 8 and a half pounds overweight…”

“He f**ked up the entire promotion,” said Rogan.

The former ‘Fear Factor’ host revealed how he wanted to praise Chimaev for “ragdolling” Kevin Holland. But he had to get into a confrontational tone and ask ‘Borz’ about missing weight.

Rogan had also stated how it was his job to ask proper questions that the fighters would love to answer. He also emphasized the point that an interview has to be entertaining for the audience as well.

Rogan stated, My whole thing is just make them shine. That’s all I’m trying to do”. But things don’t go as per plan every time and situations like the Rogan-Chimaev interview might arise often.

Portnoy got to the core of Rogan’s situation in those moments and said, I’ll give you the most credit cause I had a hard time understanding that perfectly.” Many might agree with Portnoy’s opinion here. The UFC comprises fighters from all around the world. They often speak in different dialects and accents which Rogan might not be familiar with in many of the cases.
