Khabib Nurmagomedov might have retired, but the MMA world can never forget him. This also applies to the opponents he faced at the UFC. His fight against Conor McGregor was one of the biggest fights during his career. The Dagestani fighter won the bout and cemented his legacy.
Many consider Khabib to be the UFC G.O.A.T. His fans are proud of the things he achieved during his career as an active fighter. However, many MMA fans and fighters do not consider Khabib to be the greatest fighter. This is because he retired during his prime and did not continue fighting for a few more years like other fighters.

In a series of deleted tweets McGregor wrote, “He cried in the cage asking to be put on top of a media appointed list bro haha”.
“He was a good fighter for those few weeks alright lol. Retiring takes you from all lists though. He retired and at the same time cried to be placed on one. It debunks your few tweets saying he is not about that. He should have kept quiet about Aldo. He is a fool now.”
When asked if Khabib was just a good fighter, McGregor replied, “Yes. Good, not great. Low KO rate. Can’t kick whatsoever. Never moved up in weight class despite almost dying trying to make weight. Pulled out of fights multiple times. Retired early. All of which lead him to a good fighter, not great. He’d a good few months, that’s it.”
