Jon Jones on working with Henry Cejudo
Henry Cejudo over the past year has trained multiple UFC athletes leading up to their fights. The former Olympian has worked with the likes of Zhang Weili, and Deiveson Figueiredo, helping them out with not just their wrestling but their overall game. Jones also has trained on some occasions with Cejudo as he made his transition to heavyweight.
While complementing Cejudo as a leader and tactician, Jones talked about Cejudo’s attention to detail as to what set him apart from the rest.

“Henry is just super passionate about MMA man and it’s the details you know. It’s really just the details and fine print when it comes to Henry, that’s what makes him’s special” stated Jones.
When asked if he would work with Cejudo for a longer camp, Jones responded: “Absolutely, I’d love to have Henry coaching me for the Cyril Gane fight. Hopefully, our schedules can align, get on the same page and he could be one of my corners.”
Well, having a former double champ besides presumably the GOAT of MMA is something that only a few could have imagined.

From Jones’s perspective, this move is expected to be more challenging compared to his time as a Light Heavyweight. So in that regard, Cejudo’s presence might be an advantage for the 35-year-old.
