It is no big secret that Joe Rogan loves some thrill in his life. A skilled hunter, he often goes on the hills to hunt for elk meat, as it is something that gives him an adrenaline rush. However, there are still some other activities that seem so dangerous to the UFC commentator that he would refrain from doing so. One of those activities is motorcycling. But why is a commuting option that is used by billions around the world such a major scare for the JRE host?
Speaking to James Fox, a UFO investigator and documentary filmmaker, Joe Rogan revealed that he earlier had the desire to add motorcycling to his list of hobbies. In fact, he even started taking lessons and applied for a license. However, as he revealed in #2246 of the JRE, Rogan witnessed a series of accidents that changed his mind about the decision. One such victim of a motorcycling accident was former UFC fighter Frank Mir.
He said, “One of the guys we worked with crashed his bike and messed up his shoulder. Then, one of the guys fighting for the UFC, Frank Mir, got hit by a car. He got T-boned, ran into, and his femur snapped. He almost lost his leg. It messed up his career for years.” Joe Rogan further revealed that he witnessed two or three more incidents that ended with gruesome injuries for the rider. As a result, despite his love for the machines, he will never ride one in his life. “I wish they weren’t so dangerous because I would love to drive one.”

The debate between the safety of motorcycle travel versus car travel is a matter of great interest to both drivers and researchers. According to 2013 U.S. government data, motorcycles pose a significantly higher risk of death in traffic accidents compared to automobiles. For every mile traveled that year, the number of motorcycle-related fatalities was 26 times higher than the number of auto-related fatalities. So, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Joe Rogan‘s fear of these fast machines is somewhat rational as explained through his incidents in the video. However, that doesn’t mean that he won’t be pursuing a thrill in life.
Joe Rogan reveals plan to seek thrills from Florida Everglades
To want a life away from the noise, overpopulation, and traffic that brings to one’s life in the big cities, Joe Rogan decided to move out of California to the ‘Lone Star’ state of Texas. In the southern state, the UFC commentator is enjoying a life that is filled with peace and tranquility. However, it has been a while that he has been living there; as a result, he now wishes to seek a little more adventure. On JRE #2075, Joe Rogan talked about his next move with comedians Ari Shaffir, Shane Gillis, and Mark Normand.

The UFC commentator revealed that if he ever decides to move to a new place, his first pick would be Florida. But why Florida? Well, that’s because according to Joe Rogan, “It’s the craziest place… it’s next-level crazy.” Rogan further continued, “The move is to live in the Everglades if you can. That’s the move; if there’s a way to live as close to the Everglades as is legally possible, that’s where you should live. You should live on top of the literal serpents and dinosaurs that occupy the center of the d**k of the country.”
It seems like the JRE host wants the ultimate thrill every day in his life now. So, maybe, just maybe, he would start riding a motorcycle as well once he gets over the fear of it. After all, one is more likely to survive a motorcycle crash than a run-in with an eight-foot alligator. But what do you think? Should Joe Rogan find a new place already? Do you also seek such thrill in your life? Let us know in the comments.
