UFC 290 was a memorable event. The T-Mobile Arena in Vegas was star-studded. Prominent fighters like Charles Oliveira, Sean O’Malley, Aljamain Sterling, and even BJJ King Gordon Ryan, came out to show support. Former US President Donald Trump was also present at the Arena.

The main event card was Alexander Volkanovksi vs. Yair Rodriguez, where Volkanovski emerged victorious. The co-main fight card was Alexandre Pantoja vs. Brandon Moreno. And it was a glorious fight where both fighters pushed each other to the limits. In the end, a bloodied-up Pantoja walked away with the victory, but not before he left fans in tears during his post-fight interview.

UFC 290: An event that can change the course of UFC forever

UFC 290 answered a lot of important questions that loyal UFC fans have been asking for months now. Alexander Volkanovski had been ruling as the Featherweight champion but Yair Rodriguez’s impressive skills led fans to believe that it may be time for Volkanovski to have to give up the title to Rodriguez. However, Volkanovski went and won a great victory over his opponent, removing the top contender as a threat.

Dricus Du Plessis, who has been beefing with Israel Adesanya for a while now and hopes to get a title match, came one step closer to turning that into a reality. Going in as a major underdog in his UFC 290 fight against one of the division’s best – Robert Whittaker, Du Plessis put on an impressive display as he made quick work of Whittaker, securing his spot as one of the top contenders for the Middleweight title.
