Charles Oliveira has a huge fight coming his way. However, it seems that ‘Do Bronx’ is still behind UFC superstar Conor McGregor. Most of the top UFC fighters are still looking for a bout against the Irishman, as fighting against him means a big payday. Presently, Oliveira is set to fight UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. He earned the title shot after achieving a glorious victory against Beneil Dariush at UFC 89.

Now, fans expect ‘Do Bronx’ to put all his concentration into fighting Makahchev to become the UFC lightweight champion again. The bout between the Brazilian fighter and the Dagestani fighter is set to take place on October 21 at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Oliveira once lost a title shot against Makhachev during their first clash at UFC 280, and he has now got a golden opportunity to avenge that loss. But is Oliveira completely focused on defeating Makhachev? Fans feel the answer is no.

Recently, Charles Oliveira sat down with MMA Hour’s Ariel Helwani.  During the chat, the former UFC lightweight champion said, “I’m here. I’m just waiting for [Conor McGregor]. All he needs to do is tell me the place and the time, and I’ll be there… I’m here. Where’s Conor?” When fans came across Oliveira showing interest in fighting against McGregor, they were divided.

Some believed that it was high time for ‘Do Bronx’ to forget about fighting against McGregor, even though a lot of money would be involved. A few others suggested that he should concentrate on fighting against Islam Makhachev, as it would be a tough match. Surprisingly, few fans believed that McGregor would never take up a fight against Oliveira, as he is sure about losing.

While one of the fans claimed that McGregor will only fight ‘Do Bronx’ if he is the world champion.
