Covington recently appeared on the ‘Full Send Podcast’ where he discussed his rivalry with his former friend, Jorge Masvidal. While discussing his bout with Masvidal, ‘Chaos’ further also spoke about how boxer Jake Paul abandoned Masvidal.
When asked if he would fight Paul, Covington said, “He wouldn’t want to fight me. He doesn’t want to fight a real fighter, he wants to look for guys that are washed out, past their time.”

The fighter continued, “He was trying to play buddy-buddy with me. He was hit me up in DMs after I beat Woodley and he was like, ‘Oh yo bro, we should train sometime in Miami’ blah blah blah. But then he started training with Jorge and you saw how that got sour and he kind of turned his back and kind of threw him under the bus. So I was like, the guy has no integrity. He has no honor. I can’t respect someone like that.”
Jake Paul and Masvidal were earlier seen training together. However, their friendship did not seem to go on for too long because fans could hear both the athletes taking digs at each other after a while. Therefore, Covington did not hesitate to call out either of the fighters on the podcast.

The fighter sports a 17-3-0 record and so far, welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has stopped him from becoming the champion. So with him currently topping the division’s rankings, yet not succeeding in snatching the belt, several more spectacular fights are expected.
Post his fight against Masvidal, Covington had called out Dustin Poirier with whom he has an intense rivalry. So it would be interesting to see if spectators get to see them fight. In addition to this, Covington has also teased the idea of fighting in the middleweight division. Hence, it looks like he has some great ideas in mind.
