While the #3 strawweight-ranked Rodriguez eyed a title shot, the #7-ranked Lamos stood in her way with an intention to break into the top 5. However, the will of the underdog prevailed over her opponent.

What happened in the main event fight at UFC Vegas 64?

In the third round, ‘Marajo Brothers Team’ representative relied on her ability to find tight spaces and hit Rodriguez with a powerful right hand, followed by a flying knee, and a barrage of vicious punches. Hence, the 35-year-old scored a TKO victory over her opponent, Marina Rodriguez.

Lemos, who was victorious in six of her last seven outings, hid her right hand throughout the fight behind her jabs and this tactic returned results.
