Henry Cejudo, just like some of the other UFC fighters, has stood up in support of former US president Donald Trump. The former double champion joined the 78-year-old during his rally in Las Vegas recently when Trump appeared to mispronounce Cejudo’s last name. However, ‘Triple C’ recently opened up about it and he has no issues with the ex-president whatsoever.

“I’m living the American dream. Obviously, I named my daughter America. So, I was just honored, man, to be up there with the president,” Henry Cejudo told Kamaru Usman on their ‘Pound 4 Pound’ podcast. When he heard his name getting mispronounced, ‘Triple C’ knew that Donald Trump had a busy schedule that day, and no matter what transpired during the rally, the name blunder hasn’t affected the way he feels about the 45th US president.

“He called me up and yeah, he did kind of butcher my last name. I know he’s had a long day, called me Henry. He said, ‘Henry Menudo’. Either way, I love what President Trump stands for and I personally endorse him,” Henry Cejudo added. It will be interesting to see if Donald Trump remembers ‘Triple C’s name the next when they share a stage together.

Meanwhile, Henry Cejudo would later post a picture from the instance of him giving a speech during Donald Trump’s rally. And you wouldn’t believe it, but the former double champion would take a sharp jab at his bantamweight rival Sean O’Malley.

Henry Cejudo fired shots at Sean O’Malley on Instagram post of Donald Trump’s rally

It’s pretty evident that there’s no love lost between Henry Cejudo and Sean O’Malley. Recently, ‘Suga’ took a jibe at ‘Triple C’, laughing at him losing to Aljamain Sterling, whom he defeated to win the 135-pound belt. Cejudo may not have taken that too well as he’d take a swipe at O’Malley’s demise at UFC 306 against Merab Dvalishvili while also laughing off Donald Trump’s butchering his last name.

“In better news than Sean getting 50-45. I had the opportunity to open for the President two nights ago. Let’s Make America Great Again and vote for the President Donald J. Trump! Sincerely Henry Menudo,” Henry Cejudo wrote on Instagram. Will Sean O’Malley clap back the former double champion? Well, we don’t know about that because the 29-year-old hasn’t been in the best of moods since losing the title.

If we look at Donald Trump’s mistake, it isn’t really a big deal. Even Dana White was mistaken for Joe Rogan, and that didn’t seem to bother the UFC CEO too much. Nevertheless, let us know your thoughts about this situation in the comments down below.
