The fighter started his MMA journey when he was four and had his first professional fight when he was 11. After that he has never looked back, Kutateladze was the Russian champion in Irigumi-go Ju-Jutsu nine times.

In addition to that he won the CIS championship three times. He also won second place in the European Championships in St. Petersburg back in 2002. Not only that, he was a part of the Russian national team in Thai boxing, and during 2005-2006. Well, from this information one might think that Kutateladze is Russian.
