As the conclusion of the U.S. election campaign enters its final lap, one of the emerging trends we witnessed was both candidates’ willingness to appear on popular podcasts. So they can’t really overlook ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, can they? Rumors have suggested that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will individually make their way to the JRE. How true is this?
Well, Rogan has not officially confirmed that either of them will appear on JRE. However, Trump might have confirmed it. During a conversation with the NELK Boys earlier this month, the former POTUS was questioned if he would make his way to Rogan’s podcast. Trump then revealed, “Oh sure I would. I mean I think I’m doing it, actually.”
When Kyle Forgeard from the NELK Boys again asked for a confirmation, Trump stated, “Yeah, I am.” Why is this so surprising?

It is surprising because even though JRE has witnessed several politicians have discussions with Rogan, the podcaster has knowingly stayed away from Donald Trump. In fact, back in 2022, he even said, “By the way, I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said ‘no,’ every time.”
“I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”
But with all the speculations about Trump’s potential JRE appearance making rounds of the internet, a special request popped up amid this. Taking to his X handle, Jordan Peterson, asked Joe Rogan to ‘grill’ the Republican candidate on his podcast by asking him the toughest of questions.
The famous Canadian psychologist wrote, “Hey Joe @joerogan, I hear you got Trump. Congrats. Grill him good and see what’s there.” Post this, he also revealed the reason behind his tweet because it led to controversy on social media.
Clarifying that it wasn’t his bias, Peterson wrote, “For all you mad MAGA-ites somehow triggered by this tweet, I said to @joerogan, “See what’s there.” What do you want him to do? Pitch him bl–dy softballs? What good would that be? I think that @realDonaldTrump can handle himself. So put your tempers away and try not to always assume the worst, even of your friends, for Christ’s sake.”

While being interviewed on the ‘Full Send’ podcast, Trump revealed that his team has pitched the idea of an appearance to Joe Rogan. However, the famous podcaster has yet to respond. But what if he refuses to have Trump on the show? Well, according to a renowned entrepreneur, there can be serious consequences for Rogan.
Joe Rogan risks amassing backlash from his viewers
Podcaster and entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David recently talked about the latest buzz surrounding Donald Trump and Joe Rogan on his show ‘Valuetainment.’ Bet-David shared his excitement about potentially seeing the former POTUS on JRE and revealed that he wanted to see the actual side of the Republican candidate; Especially since Rogan is known for bringing out the best and true selves of his guests.
Bet-David shared, “You can have 20 different people, and there’s a certain way some interviewers approach it. You just know how they’re going to interview—like, “Okay, that’s a ChatGPT interview,” or, “This is going to be silly,” or, “This one’s going to be lightweight.” But then you think, “I’m looking forward to Trump talking to him and to him talking to Joe.” I can’t wait to see that conversation take place. It’s going to be exciting.”

However, since fans want Trump to be a part of the podcast, chances are that Rogan’s refusal to have him will lead to severe criticism. It will be worse if Kamala Harris makes an appearance but Trump doesn’t. Further, let us not forget that UFC CEO Dana White shares a close friendship with Trump.
“Musk said it’s going to happen; Trump said it’s going to happen. If Joe doesn’t do it, he will have a lot of backlash,” Bet-David had opined.

That being said, let us not forget Joe Rogan’s confusing stance about Trump. The podcaster has previously called him a “polarizing figure” and “existential threat to democracy,” but has also defended Trump supporters as well as criticized how the internet portrayed Trump.
Well, it’s all upon the JRE host now to decide whether he will end up having the Republican on his show or not. But what do you think? Should Trump be a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience? Let us know in the comments.
