Combat sports come with their fair share of hassles as well. Apart from injuries, the combat sports world also packs the risk of getting infected with bacterial infections. Although most of them don’t pose any severe threat if treated right from the beginning, things can get really horrible if they are ignored. They can even pose life threats once they have spread out to uncontrollable amounts.
The late former UFC Heavyweight champion, Kevin Randleman, was subjected to such an ill fate due to a staph infection. The infection had leaked into his bloodstream, making it a serious case. He ignored the initial stage and was hospitalized when the infection had already turned septic. Parts of his lateral and pectoral muscles had to be removed in order to eliminate the infection.

A lot of other users were also ignorant of the fact that Randleman had already passed away in 2016. Some fans also said that major staph infections don’t leave the person similar to before; even after healing completely. Maybe that horrible staph infection didn’t leave Randleman similar to what he was earlier; resulting in his untimely demise.
