Bridget Phetasy started the conversation by declaring that silos were forming as people chose sides based on their ideology. Further, she pointed out that no one was actually articulating their ideas or even disagreeing.
Following this, the color commentator stated, “That’s what Elon wants to bring back to Twitter is, reasonable exchange of ideas. That’s like he really thinks it’s important.” Further, the former Fear Factor host spoke of Musk’s distaste for people enforcing their ideologies, regardless of whether the science supported those.
Continuing on the same discussion, the 55-year-old commentator pointed out that the discourse remained the real problem and it particularly stood out in the case of Twitter. He then illustrated this statement and said, “Like if you post something and then someone posts something that opposes what you say, like aahhh, and then you gotta like formulate it. Like some people don’t want that.”
Afterward, the veteran commentator added, “So what they would like to do is silence the people that have opposing viewpoints and then you get all this positive feedback from all the people that agree with you.”
However, one might feel good and satisfied with this amplification, and there would be someone who would disagree.
While Rogan declared that this kind of communication couldn’t qualify as good, he also pointed out that it was a quick way to get information and ideas. But again, it was not the desired method of exchanging ideas and dialogue.
Lastly, the famous TV presenter illustrated the ideal form of communication and admitted that two people looking at and talking to each other was the ideal scenario.
