Conor McGregor and his team’s miserable run on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ continues as his team racked up yet another loss. However, there was a minor scuffle after the fifth loss in the recent episode. Following the airing of the episode, The Irishman has made a special request to the UFC president Dana White.

The team of prospects has found it hard to tackle their veteran counterparts. Team McGregor has suffered five losses, the latest of which came as a unanimous decision victory for Michael Chandler‘s team. Moreover, McGregor also seemed ticked off in the recent episode of the show.

Following last week’s loss, this week Carlos Vera went head-to-head against Brad Katona in a Bantamweight bout. So far, this season has only given two rounds for each fight. However, this time, the fight was much closer than expected. While one fighter displayed excellent striking skills, the other showed some great grappling and takedown techniques. The fight ended in favor of Chandler’s team, which the former double champ took issue with.

Conor McGregor has a request for Dana White

After losing all the matches so far on the show, McGregor made a request to Dana White. He shared a tweet asking for something special for the performance delivered by his teammate, Carlos Vera. He tweeted, “Dana, 60g’s baby,” an iconic call back to the time he received a performance bonus after registering his knockout victory in just 67 seconds against Marcus Brimage.

Even after the loss, McGregor seemed to be impressed by the show Vera had put up. He lauded his efforts and has now requested the UFC boss for some extra money. It will be interesting to see how Dana White reacts.

Conor McGregor needs to get back in the show if he wishes to see his fighters win even one fight. On the side, some people, including members of the MMA community, believe that the show hasn’t clicked among fans. However, the presence of McGregor may just help viewers stick to the show for the rest of the season.

McGregor visibly frustrated after the Episode 5 loss

Following the two-round bout, the Irishman expressed his displeasure with the fight, not having one more round added to it. He believes that the fight was close and should have had a deciding round. McGregor said, “They are unfinished fights. If they go unfinished fights, give them the third round.” Additionally, he also mentioned that the opportunity they have in TUF is not something they will get every time. “There are guys fighting for their life here,” said the 34-year-old.

Conor McGregor also emphasized the fact that there could be situations where a fight becomes a close encounter. These fights should have the possibility of a third round. He added, “In those situations where they’re closely-contested back-and-forth fights, there should be a third round.” While the cage-side officials dismissed Mcgregor’s plea, Dana too didn’t respond. “It is what it is,” he concluded.
