Joe Rogan is probably the biggest name in the world of podcasts today, but he started his career as a stand-up comic. Rogan burst into the Boston comedy scene in the late 1980s. He went on to become a television presenter and a UFC commentator. In a recent chat with stand-up comic Mike Vecchioni, Joe Rogan revealed the behind-the-scenes of being a stand-up comic. Rogan was hosting Vecchioni on episode #1967 of his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. The conversation naturally hovered a lot around what was life as a stand-up comic like and Rogan revealed how things are for a beginner.

I knew Rogan for his honest and unapologetic humor. He created a lot of stirs with his jokes but soon got into television presentation and later UFC commentary. Rogan revealed how the job may look fun and easy, but actually was an art on its own. He talked about how things feel in the initial days of starting a career as a stand-up comic.

In his chat with Mike Vecchioni Rogan talked about how it was easy for people to think that Stand-up comedy was an easy trade to delve into. He said people thought everybody could be funny but it took a lot to do the job consistently. Rogan said, It’s a real art form, it’s an art form that sounds like you are just talking so it’s kinda underappreciated cuz everybody can just talk and most people are funny sometimes so you see somebody up there you are like, I can do that, you don’t really respect it unless someone is just fuc***g murdering “.

Rogan further added how it might seem like a fun thing to do but was actually very difficult. He added, It’s a funny thing to do with your life, and man it tests the sh*t out of you in the beginning because in the beginning it just doesn’t, many times you’re gonna be like this is not happening, going home massively depressed in whatever shitty apartment I live in thinking what the f**k am I doing.

Joe Rogan’s new venture is an anti-cancel culture club

Joe Rogan’s latest venture in Austin, Texas is a comedy club. The club named ‘Mother-ship’ is supposedly against cancel culture and Rogan has shown a lot of interest in his venture. He had performed drunk and high on the opening night. He has discussed the club and has praised the crowd there calling them ‘crazy’.

While struggle and difficulties make strong men, Joe Rogan must be happy to have been through those difficult initial days.
