Joe Rogan is a man of many talents and passions. From his successful comedy career and podcasting to his renowned role as a UFC commentator, he has done it all. Moreover, Rogan has also been a dedicated martial art practitioner and he got his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt more than a decade ago. However, one of his lesser-known pursuits is his deep love for bow hunting.

In a recent video posted on social media, the 55-year-old shared a glimpse into his world of archery. The footage captured him at an archery shop, where he engaged in the process known as ‘paper tuning’. This technique involves shooting an arrow through a sheet of paper to assess its flight path and ensure its straightness.

When Joe Rogan explained his love for hunting

In an earlier podcast episode featuring Russell Brand, Rogan eloquently articulated his deep connection to hunting. He described the unique thrill of being in the wild, surrounded by nature and the untamed wilderness. While acknowledging the difficulty and the satisfaction of procuring his own food, Rogan emphasized that his love for hunting goes beyond mere sustenance.

“There’s a different kind of a thrill being in the wild, it’s weird. It’s hard to describe when people like, say to me, ‘Why do you like hunting?’ Not just for the meat, not just because it’s difficult to do. But there’s a thing about being in the real wild, like, when we’re in the mountains in Utah. And you know there are big cats out there.”
