Gina Carano Once ‘Ashamed’ Ex-UFC Dual Champion for Harsh Acting Comments After Ronda Rousey Career Advice in 2017

Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano are two pioneers of women’s MMA. ‘Conviction’ brought mainstream attention to WMMA, whereas ‘Rowdy’ took it to another level with her UFC deal.

In the past, these two were often rumored to have a contest. And to this date, fight fanatics want the showdown. That said, there has been no conflict between them. In fact, The Rowdy One considers the Mandalorian star her idol. Further, Carano, previously, has advised Rousey when she suffered a brutal loss against Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.

How was Ronda Rousey involved in Daniel Cormier and Gina Carano feud?

A former dual champion wasn’t appreciative of Carano for her advice to Rowdy Ronda. And it created a beef between top mixed martial arts practitioners.

The former EliteXC & Strikeforce athlete Carano, who found her footing in Hollywood, offered Rousey to showcase the ‘artist’ side of her. ‘Conviction’, who retired from the sport of MMA after her first loss to Cris Cyborg, received the heat from 2-time Olympian Daniel Cormier for her remarks.

The UFC commentator said, “Gina Carano, who are you to tell Ronda Rousey what to do?… If I’ve got to look back on your career and you choosing to act over fighting and continuing to fight… [Gina Carano’s] career has not been what it would have been if she stayed fighting.”

Further, Cormier gave advice of his own to the 6-time UFC bantamweight champion. ‘DC‘ said, “Ronda, don’t listen to someone that I feel didn’t make the right choice.” 

The ex-dual UFC champion urged Rousey to continue fighting. However, The Arm Collector never stepped back inside the Octagon.

Meanwhile, Deadpool & Haywire star didn’t receive the Louisiana-born’s comments pleasingly. Subsequently, Carano posted a tweet to express her emotions as Cormier’s comments were flooding the internet.

The 40-year-old, who recently appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast and made a startling revelation, replied to Cormier on social media.

‘Conviction’ wrote, “@dc_mma if you knew me and what I’ve been through to get to where I am. I genuinely think you’d be ashamed of your words. All the best.”

Carano had a decent Hollywood career. She starred in Disney shows and movies. Consequently, it garnered her a ton of attention. However, ‘Conviction’ also had a fair share of lows in her Hollywood career.

The former mixed martial artist recently joined hands with veteran UFC fighter Donald Cerrone and Joe Rogan‘s friend Ben Shapiro for Terror on the Prairie movie.
