Former UFC fighter Paige Vanzant featured in her debut Power Slap fight on June 28 after previously competing in the UFC. Rogan, who rates the 30-year-old very high, seemed confused with her moving to power slap. Former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub also quite felt the same and said, “There’s no talent in getting slapped in the face.” However, Rogan was quick to point out that featuring in a power slap might just give her more fans. The sport is currently on the rise but it does have a lot of risk as well. Yet, he also added, “What are we doing here? It’s free brain damage like why?”

The UFC color commentator then pointed out that how even a slap can cause serious damage. Although it’s just a slap, Rogan pointed out the technicality behind it. He said, “You could hit someone so hard with a slap. Because you’re not everybody thinks of a slap as like the palm in the face. That is not what’s happening. You’re getting palmed striked in the face. Full blast from a full swing like this.” Launched in 2022, the sport has been constantly growing in social media. While it does have a lot of risks, it seems that the fans are enjoying witnessing it.

The popularity was always predicted by the UFC CEO, Dana White and he is even more confident regarding its popularity. In a recent press conference for the ‘Power Slap’ event, the UFC head honcho shared some staggering numbers that have surprised the fans.
