The ͏rem͏atch ͏betwe͏en Alexander Volkov and Ciryl Gane was anticipat͏ed to b͏e a fi͏ery͏ encounter f͏or t͏he MMA com͏munity. ͏However, it e͏nde͏d in controve͏rsy, as the Frenchman’s vi͏ctory sparked ͏en͏or͏m͏ous outrage across the fighting͏ world. The conf͏usion extended even to prominent figures like Joe Ro͏ga͏n,͏ Dana Wh͏ite, and other fighters in the heavyweight division.͏ Amid the upro͏ar, both the UFC C͏EO and the Russ͏ian fi͏ghte͏r have ͏com͏e͏ forw͏ard ͏to͏ share ͏their͏ stat͏ements, seeking t͏o clarify the situation tha͏t has left the entir͏e commun͏ity bewildered.
Alexander Volkov͏ dominated the Frenc͏h fight͏er for͏ most of the fight, but it appeared the judges had͏ a different opinion. After the loss, t͏he͏ Russian was͏ visibly furious with the judges, particularly Adalaide Byrd, for scoring the fight in favor ͏of Ci͏ryl Gane, “I don’t know if she works on her judging skills, or if she just sometimes comes to watch the fights because she likes it and gives the victory wherever she likes. Maybe she liked Ciryl Gane’s body more.”, said the Russian fighter at the UFC 310 post-fight presser.
Much to the surprise and anger of the fighting community, the judges delivered their verdict—29-28, 28-29, 29-28 in Gane’s favor which even made the UFC CEO Dana White curious about the authenticity of the judges. At the post-fight press conference, the UFC CEO was asked about his opinion on the lopsided judging to which the UFC CEO stated, “Ahh, I thought Volkov won the fight. So here’s what happened after the fight—you heard the boos. I went over to Volkov, I apologized, I thought he won the fight. “

Alexander Volkov was FURIOUS at judge Adalaide Byrd for scoring the fight in favor of Ciryl Gane:
“I don’t know if she works on her judging skills, or she just sometimes comes to watch the fights because she likes it, and give the victory wherever she likes.
Maybe she liked… pic.twitter.com/cqwcmf69CC

He further added, “Then the commission came over and said, ‘Listen, we feel like the second round was really close and could have gone either way. Both guys got rocked. We thought that…’ You know, I can’t remember which one they thought had the worst of it in the second round, but, you know, they are making the argument on why they judged [it] the way it was.”
It must be noted that judge Adalaide Byrd was also the reason ‘Triple G’ Gennady Golovkin lost his initial clash against his rival Canelo Alvarez. In one of her scorecards, Golovkin only won the fourth and seventh rounds. However, many disagreed, feeling that Golovkin actually dominated most of the fight after finding his rhythm in the third round. In that light, the MMA community was completely furious about the happenings as they reacted sharply to the decision and the famed boxing judge.
Fans are furious about Judge Adalaide Byrd scoring in Alexander Volkov and Ciryl Gane’s fight
The fight between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov delivered on all fronts, but the judging left a lot to be desired. Keeping it short, a social media user blatantly claimed that the scoring was nothing but a fraudulent affair.
FRAUD SCORING

Sometimes winning a bout is not enough to get a shot at the title, and this seems to be the case with Ciryl Gane’s latest win at UFC 310. The UFC head honcho was extremely apologetic to Alexander Volkov for what people perceive as a horrible decision, but it looks like they’re ready to make amends with the Russian by keeping him in the title picture, despite the loss.
Alexander Volkov’s team has just said that Dana White and Hunter Campbell told them that Volkov remains next for the title shot regardless of the terrible split decision in favour of Ciryl Gane at UFC 310, which they consider wrong.

The outcome of that fight had fans, the UFC CEO, and Volkov himself upset. And the fight game is such that sometimes, you end up being on the wrong side of the judges’ decision despite your best efforts. In that light, a social media user asserted that Alexander Volkov has every reason to be upset about the scoring but the decision will not change and he would have to accept the outcome.
Every right to be upset, but it won’t change the record. Don’t leave it up to the judges if you’re not looking to get screwed.

For context that is the same judge that gave Canelo the GGG fight. For reference I’m Mexican and I tell anyone who asks that GGG won that fight

Judges seem to get away with bad scoring in a lot of instances, despite some of them never stepping into the Octagon, or a fighting gym for that matter. However, one fan took it to another level when he said that Adalaide Byrd should get prison time for her questionable judgment in fights.
She scored the 1st Canelo-GGG fight 118-110 for Canelo. She should honestly be in prison.

Last but not least, a fan called out the corruption in the betting world for the loss. The fight world is defined by competition, and whenever there are two parties at stake, a third party tends to profit. While betting and gambling are mainstays in the world of high-profile combat sports, corruption within the sport is another big problem. Keeping this thought in mind, a fan called out the prevalence of corruption in combat sports, while reacting to the Gane vs. Volkov split decision.
Corruption, rigging results is how a lot of money is made in the filthy betting world.
