The return of Jon Jones to UFC has been the talk of the town for the past few months. After a three-year hiatus, the former light heavyweight champion has made a move to the heavyweight division. He will be facing Ciryl Gane for the vacant world heavyweight title at UFC 285. Everyone in the UFC community is eagerly awaiting his return, and his upcoming match against Gane has got everyone excited. Recently, Francis Ngannou did an interview with The Schmo where he talked about his life after leaving UFC and his future plans.

During the interview, he was asked about his thoughts on the upcoming heavyweight fight at UFC 285.

Francis Ngannou gives his prediction for Jon Jones’ fight

‘The Predator’ talked about how it all depends on which kind of Jon Jones appears in the octagon at the UFC 285. He mentioned that if it’s a ‘Bones’ that is coming for a knockout, Ngannou does not see the fight going to the distance.

“I think this fight will most likely go into distance unless if (the) Jon Jones (that) show up (in) this fight can TKO. I think he’s gonna take down, wrestle, do some ground and pound,” said the former UFC champ.

However, he also said that if a defensive Jones comes to the ring, the fight can go the distance. “It can go to distance if Jon Jones fight defensive because then both of them will be like defensive fighter thinking they are very good in that style,” according to Ngannou.

It is interesting to note that if Ngannou had not left UFC and vacated his title, then the option for UFC would have been Jones vs Ngannou. The possibility of a fight between Jones and Ngannou had been looming for quite some time. According to everyone in the MMA community, it would have been a fascinating matchup to watch.

However, the former heavyweight champ’s decision to leave the UFC has led to ‘Bones’ having to fight ‘Bon Gamin’ for the vacant title.
