“I don’t think I’m a bad guy from Dagestan. I think I’m a good guy from Dagestan,” said Khabib Nurmagomedov when he was still in the promotion. The quote by the former champ holds true to this day. ‘The Eagle’ is known in the UFC for many things: his record, his passion, but above all, his humanity and behavior. Khabib Nurmagomedov might be one of the scariest fighters inside the Octagon but outside of it there’s hardly any fighter who shares the same honor as him and welterweight fighter, Belal Muhammad experienced that firsthand.

‘Remem͏ber the Name’ is in the spotlight͏ as the ͏welterweight͏ co͏ntender finally has his c͏͏hanc͏e from Dana White to͏ co͏mpet͏e ͏for the welterweigh͏t title currently h͏eld͏ b͏y͏ Leon ͏Edwards. Belal Muhammad has been in the limelight as he is about to face Leon Edwards for the welterweight title, and, to reign supreme against the champion,’ Remember the Name’ is training alongside Team Khabib. Muhammad shares a good relationship with the Dagestanis, given that they are all under the same management. And one of the reasons why Belal Muhammad loves being around them is probably because of their hospitality and discipline.

Ahead of his clash against the champ, Belal Muhammad sat down with ‘Money Loyalty Legacy’ to have a meaningful conversation, and amidst the podcast, Muhammad narrated a story of how he was treated so well by Khabib Nurmagomedov that he was flabbergasted by it. Muhammad explained that after his fight against Gilbert Burns, ‘The Eagle’ called him out to train alongside his cousin Abubakar Nurmagomedov. After the training, the Hall of Famer invited ‘Remember The Name’ to training in Abu Dhabi, which he initially declined but went anyway.

“So, I went down there, and Khabib got me my own hotel room and dropped me off. He was like, ‘Just wait here,’ and they got the groceries. Umar and Abubakar filled the kitchen with groceries and stuff like that. I was like, ‘Guys, you don’t have to. I’m good.’ And they go, ‘No, brother, we are gonna make sure you are alright. Anything you need, we got you,'” said Belal Muhammad.

He further added, “Then he bought me like $600 worth of shoes from Hermes.” Muhammad emphasized that the ‘Eagle’ believes in giving and not taking back. He added that he just wants you to have better clarity. Khabib Nurmagomedov might be the best, but recent news about the former champ seems to be a bit distressing.

‘The Eagle’ might have shifted to the UAE permanently

The ship seems to be sailing in rough waters for Khabib Nurmagomedov. Just a few weeks ago the former lightweight champ was asked to pay over 300 million roubles (or around $3.3 million) in tax as per the orders of the Federal Tax Service. Why, you ask? Well, Russia’s tax collection agency found that some of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s companies didn’t comply with the tax clauses.
