There have been a number of instances where UFC fighters have gotten into legal trouble. Starting from the noted UFC icon, Conor McGregor, to one of the greats, Jon Jones, UFC fighters have often been found guilty of unlawful conduct. Although, probably every fighter realizes the impact of an arrest on their image, still a lot have found it hard to abide by the law.
Recently, another such incident took place when the ex-UFC fighter, Karl Roberson, was arrested under charges of burglary. Roberson was also accompanied by another person in his thievery venture. The police also stated that the duo had stolen possessions worth around $200,000.
Howell Township Police Department revealed the Karl Roberson burglary incident

The Howell Township Police Department in New Jersey publicized the news of Roberson’s arrest on 17 April. Detective Ryan Jackson from the department confirmed Roberson’s identity leading to his arrest.
Ryan Jackson stated, “Yes, it would be the same person, Mr. Roberson. I’m familiar with his UFC career.” The entire incident was reported by ‘MMA Fighting’ and the police revealed a lot more about Roberson’s burglary.
Reportedly, Roberson and his crime partner, Dathan Thompson, opened the rear door of the house forcefully. They got into it and also managed to find the way to the master bedroom of the house. They also broke into it and stole away jewelry and possessions amounting to $200,000. The criminal duo was caught on the footage of the CCTV cameras both inside and outside the house. However, Roberson and Thompson both were masked, which made the cops’ job a bit tougher.

Detective Ryan Jackson had to seek help in tracing Karl Roberson
Ryan Jackson joined detective Anthony Romano to trace the culprits. Ryan Jackson’s partner had a good hand at “utilizing advance training in technical applications and analysis of cellular data to develop multiple suspects,” which helped them finally arrest Roberson.

Roberson was arrested at a traffic signal after his vehicle was identified by the police. However, detective Jackson revealed that he was released stating, “I’m aware that he’s been released. He was lodged at our county jail for two to three weeks, I’m not sure the timeframe, since then he has been released.”
However, Roberson, holding a UFC record of 4-6, could be subjected to as long as 10 years in prison depending upon his trial. The 32-year-old had his last bout against Kennedy Nzechukwu in July 2022, where he suffered a loss via TKO.
