Former women’s Bantamweight champion Miesha Tate recently tweeted a picture of herself and her kids with the UFC heavyweight champion. She captioned the tweet, “The Baddest Man on the Planet is really just a gentle giant! With Amaia, Dax, and the Champ @francis_ngannou at the @UFCPI.”

She was posing with her two kids with Ngannou, and she has been a fan of the Cameroonian since day one. The heavyweight champ, who has been recovering from an ACL tear on his knee, has been putting in the work at the UFC Performance Institute and shared this wholesome moment with the former Bantamweight champ.

Francis Ngannou: A champion both inside and outside the octagon

This isn’t the first time that personalities like Miesha Tate have lauded Ngannou for the personality he is. Here’s a throwback to years before Ngannou became the heavyweight champ when he visited a children’s hospital at Miesha Tate’s request.

“I’m really rooting for @francis_ngannou tonight! He is an even better person than he is a fighter which says a lot. His story is inspirational & he gives back every chance he gets, he jumped at the opportunity to visit a local children’s hospital! #TeamNgannou” Captioned Tate.

To say the least, Francis Ngannou’s reach seems to be a lot more than being a champion and a dominant force in the UFC. That being said, what’s next for Ngannou after his title defense at UFC 270?

Francis Ngannou hasn’t had the best relationship with the UFC for a while. With a lot of friction between the business slabs, the UFC and the champ can’t seem to arrive at the best solution for them.

However, Ngannou, who has been looking for a huge paycheck in the world of boxing, might have his prayers answered. The WBC title holder Tyson Fury called out the UFC heavyweight champ on national television after his win over Dillian Whyte.

Ngannou, who is on the road to recovery from his ACL tear, will face the Englishman in a potential hybrid rule boxing match perhaps later this year or early 2023.

That being said, it will be one of the greatest crossover fights in the combat sports history if it ever comes to fruition.
