Popular social media platform Twitter has found a brand new owner in the billionaire businessman, Elon Musk. The Tesla owner first invested a whopping sum to acquire 9.2% of the share. But the latest development has seen a complete takeover by Musk, which could bring some changes.

The 50-year-old businessman has been quite vocal about everything he hopes to fix with the platform. He even teased to kick start his own social media website, but instead of that, he choose to get involved with Twitter. This move has attracted both naysayers and supporters, who voiced their opinions, which includes a former UFC champion, Tito Ortiz.
Tito Ortiz showered words of praise on Elon Musk
Ortiz took to Twitter to celebrate the news of this massive move by Musk and he even dubbed Musk a ‘freedom fighter’. Ortiz once held the light-heavyweight gold and became one of the first ‘stars’ of the promotion.

In the following tweet, he took a page out of former president Donald Trump’s book to praise the billionaire by making use of his famous slogan.

Tito Ortiz’s time away from UFC saw him dabble in various things
The former UFC champion hasn’t been the same since leaving the promotion back in the day. With a string of losses and little chances of climbing back to the top, Ortiz left the promotion for Bellator back in 2012.

However, this move did not see him pick up the world title, although he did rack up some notable wins. He was then seen making a brief return to MMA with the ‘Golden Boy Promotions’ MMA event, which took place in 2018 against UFC Legend & arch-nemesis Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell.
The 47-year-old dabbled in the world of politics but shortly dashed out of the same citing personal reasons. Ortiz was last seen in a boxing match against one of the greatest mixed martial artists in Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva. The bout did not go as he anticipated, as ‘The Spider’ made quick work of the former champ.
