Conor McGregor has a habit of staying at the top of the headlines. However, this time he tagged along with Tony Ferguson as the two were selected to coach in the upcoming season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’. ‘The Notorious’ took to social media and announced the news. Soon after, ‘El Cucuy’ came up and announced that he was going to coach against the ‘Mystic Man’. Without a doubt, the news created an enormous uproar in the universe of mixed martial arts. However, excitement wasn’t the only emotion the announcements faced. TUF recently received severe criticism from Brendan Schaub for trying to revive itself with the help of McGregor and Ferguson. The former mixed martial artist spoke about the events on his talk show, ‘The Schaub Show’.

Brendan Schaub shares his opinion on the new TUF coaches

On the recent episode of ‘The Schaub Show’, the former UFC contender spoke about the latest news regarding ‘The Notorious’ and his being busy. He talked about the former double champion’s injured leg as well as his latest bike accident. However, he couldn’t steer clear off McGregor going to coach in the TUF.

Schaub said, “Conor has a lot on his plate right now, man. So, if he’s gonna do TUF against Tony Ferguson. If he’s gonna do… he has a movie coming out. I think it’s on Amazon Prime, the Road House movie. So, he sounds like he’s a obviously busy, busy cat, man. So he’s doing all this stuff, you know. I don’t know how many fights he has left. Who knows where his leg’s at. He does The Ultimate Fighter.”

However, ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ didn’t receive much appreciation. Although Schaub believed that Ferguson was a great fighter, him going against McGregor as a coach was a desperate measure. Schaub revealed his belief of the two coaches being the metaphorical defibrillators engaged to revive TUF.

Schaub said, “The thing is Conor and Tony Ferguson. Tony Ferguson is bad sh*t, too. So it’s like two… You basically booked two jokers to run The Ultimate Fighter trying to revamp this thing. It needs life. They get the those [mimicked using a defibrillator] clear, ‘kling’! And that’s what they’re trying to do with Tony and Conor here.”

Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson would finally go against each other

Although the two won’t fight inside the Octagon themselves, they would coach against each other in the upcoming season of TUF. Without a doubt, the fans commend and thank the UFC president, Dana White for making their wishes come true.
