UFC fighters are famous for their larger-than-life personalities, but Bryce Mitchell and Kron Gracie are taking it to a whole new level. While most competitors stick to trash talk and fight predictions, these two are diving into something far more polarizing– flat earth theories and wild conspiracies. So, are they really believers, or just the kind of soundbites that grab headlines?

And let’s be honest when Bryce Mitchell is involved, there’s never a dull moment. From walking into the octagon with a Bible to delivering some of the most unhinged rants in the UFC, ‘Thug Nasty’ has built a reputation for being anything but predictable. On the other hand, Kron Gracie’s quiet skepticism offers a stark contrast, leaving fans wondering where he truly stands. With UFC 310 just hours away, the question looms, how much of this is personal belief, and how much is theatrics?

Bryce Mitchell has made waves once again, but this time it’s not all about his upcoming fight. On the Believe You Me podcast, Mitchell went on an epic tirade, targeting everything from Elon Musk’s Neuralink project to the shape of the Earth. According to him, Musk’s brain chip technology is “the mark of the beast,” and his ventures into space are part of a larger lie. “He knows the Earth is flat, and he’s a lying rat b******,Mitchell proclaimed, leaving no room for doubt about where he stands.

Love him or hate him, Mitchell’s takes are undeniably entertaining. Meanwhile, Kron Gracie has been a quieter yet equally intriguing figure in the flat earth conversation. Ever since signing with the UFC, his reported belief in the flat earth theory has generated significant interest, often overshadowing his exceptional Brazilian jiu-jitsu background. Unlike Mitchell, Gracie isn’t one to seek the spotlight or push his opinions. Yet, when asked about it during a 2018 interview with ESPN MMA, he didn’t shy away from confirming his stance.

Yeah, I believe the Earth is flat, It is what it is,” Gracie said at the time. “People are always gonna say something, and I’m not trying to promote the Flat Earth…Ultimately, no one really knows. Until you get into a rocket and you can fly up and see. But I just have some doubts about some of these things.”

Gracie’s subdued demeanor and reluctance to elaborate make his beliefs as enigmatic as the fighter himself. While fans often mock the theory, they’ve come to associate it with Gracie’s identity almost as much as his fighting career.

The intrigue of alleged realities

Mitchell’s opinions seem to extend to his faith. From carrying a Bible into the octagon to tying his theories to religious prophecy, Mitchell is as much a preacher as he is a fighter. “When you start getting these chips in the head, they’re going to monitor everything you buy, everything you sell. it’s going to be communism like the world has never seen.”

Mitchell’s criticism didn’t stop at Musk’s brain chip. In the same podcast with Michael Bisping, Mitchell further built upon his theories in his signature over-the-top style. He claimed, “The reason he’s [Musk] making electric cars is because he can shut your car off whenever you make a mean tweet.”  He further alleged that Tesla cars will one day be used for control.

“My pickup truck would crush one of those Teslas like a can of coke,” he quipped, blending his trademark humor with his skepticism of modern technology. While Mitchell’s fiery delivery wins him loyal fans, others question whether his energy is better spent focusing on his fight. After all, he’s stepping into the cage against Kron Gracie, a man who has a generation’s legacy to speak for him.

The Arkansan native’s unapologetic outbursts and Gracie’s quieter skepticism have set the stage for one of UFC 310’s most intriguing matchups, ‘The Flattest Mother F—ker Belt’.  As the fight draws closer, the question isn’t just who will win, it’s which worldview will sustain.
