UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is known for his motivational words to uplift his fans who are going through stuff. The 32-year-old himself suffered a lot in his teenage years but could cope with it with the help of his passion, i.e. fighting. Days before UFC 271, ‘The Last Stylebender’ went on a motivational rant on his YouTube channel, instructing youngsters how to approach their life in their 20s.

The UFC middleweight champion said, “F**k ’em, f**k your family, f**k your friends, and f**k their opinions, f**k them and I say that with all due respect because when I was 20, I thought I was gonna be married and have kids by 24.”
“I think about it now. Literally, I thought at 24 I’d be married with kids when I was 20. Because you have all these ideas of what society or like is like your family or whatever I want you to aspire to be or fall into that blueprint.”
“You know you get a good job and then you marry and you have a kid and you work until you die, blah blah blah. Nah, f**k all that, f**k em.”
“Everyone’s time to peak is different. Everyone’s time to shine is different. So, that pressure, just use it to work but don’t take it to heart. That’s all. Even for me, personally, with my family and my loved ones. You know, they, it’s out of love. They want the best for you, but they are not you.”

“You know what’s best for you. It’s also good to listen to them. Listen to them, take on the advice. But, at the end of the day, it’s your life. You have to listen to what you want to do in your intuition. So, it’s all case-by-case basis. So yeah, listen to them, but at the same time, f**k their opinions. Do you boo-boo!” Adesanya said on his YouTube channel.
How is Israel Adesanya faring at the UFC?
‘The Last Stylebender’ set foot in the UFC octagon in 2018. Within two years, he beat Robert Whittaker and became the undisputed UFC middleweight champion. Adesanya (21-1), who came into the UFC with an unblemished MMA career, continued his winning streak and remains undefeated in the middleweight division.
However, he is not undefeated now. ‘The Last Stylebender’, in his bid to become a double division champion as several fighters of his status have done in the past, moved up a weight class to get his hands on the light heavyweight strap.
But he lost his fight against then-UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz, who was substantially bigger than him. The Pole defeated him at UFC 259 with the help of his superior grappling skills.

Now, he will be facing #1 contender Robert Whittaker in a rematch at UFC 271 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Although Adesanya returned to the winning column after defeating ‘The Italian Dream’ Marvin Vettori in their rematch at UFC 263, it still will be a significant challenge for him to fend off ‘The Reaper’.
